The Government and Aerocivil Change Aspect of the Airport
WITH ADAPTATIONS TO INFRASTRUCTURE AND CLEANING ITS SURROUNDINGS, THE GOVERNMENT AND AEROCIVIL CHANGE ASPECT OF THE GUSTAVO ROJAS PINILLA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
* In order to correct any type of leaks, the entire roof covering of the air terminal was waterproofed.
* With the arrival of new personnel, the main areas that need more attention such as aisles and restrooms will be attended.
* Likewise, decoration, beautification and cleaning activities will be carried out on the exterior and surrounding areas
Provide a good image and give the respective maintenance to the Gustavo Rojas Pinilla International Airport, are the priorities of the Departmental Administration. Therefore, the Governor in charge, Tonney Gene Salazar, held a meeting with the manager of the Aerocivil, Jose Luis Lujan, where they established agreements to improve areas that require more attention at the air terminal.
In order to correct any type of leaks, the entire roof cover of the airport was waterproofed. Likewise, with the arrival of new personnel, the main areas that need more attention such as hallways and restrooms will be attended.
"We have managed to respond to the requests that were being developed on the issue of optimization at critical areas of the airports, particularly the San Andres airport. People who are going to start working at these areas will give a better attention and we hope that for the month of November, the airport will be in perfect condition, with all the elements that are currently not in operation, "said the Governor.
Another determining measure is to carry out the preventive maintenance throughout the entire structure, taking into account that high season is approaching. Both the Governor in charge and the manager of the Aerocivil said that, after a month, the most required improvements will be completed, including the maintenance of all electromechanical equipment.
In the same manner, decoration, beautification and cleaning activities will be carried out on the external and surrounding areas, working together with the Secretariats of Infrastructure and Public Services and Environment.

With these initiatives, the Administration will be fulfilling the needs of the population of the islands and visitors, highlighting not only the external beauty, but also welcoming the community in general from the very start and guaranteeing an adequate service.
