With an extensive academic agenda and a large number of Latin American Film Productions, the Colombian Archipelago is getting ready for the first version of the Seven Color Sea Film Festival that starts June 1st.
The program will open with a red carpet on Friday June 1st at 6:30 p.m., at the Hollywood Theater and will also have the premiere in Colombia of the Mexican film 'Sueño en otro idioma' directed by Ernesto Contreras. This is the first of a selection of 14 films of different genres that the festival brings.
The Seven Color Sea Film Festival will be the ideal setting for the screening of films from the four points of the world geography, among which stand out:Dream in another language (Director, Ernesto Contreras | Mexico - USA | 2017),Isle of Dogs (Director, Wes Anderson | USA | 2018)Sergio & Sergei (Director, Ernesto Daranas | Cuba - Spain | 2017), The Miseducation of Cameron Post (Director, Desiree Akhavan) | USA | 2018,La Mujer del Animal (Director, Victor Gaviria)Matar a Jesus (Director, Laura Mora) | Colombia | 2018),Bad Lucky Goat (Director, Samir Oliveros | Colombia | 2017),film produced in the Municipality of Providence, among other productions.
Within the framework of the festival, an academic program will be developed, rich in information and knowledge for experts and beginners, to which an invitation is extended to the entire community who are interested, prior registration.
Workshop #Tengounapelícula Proimagenes Colombia in partnership with the Departmental Film Council of the Archipelago of San Andres and the festival brings for the first time, the Workshop #Tengounapelicula, an intensive seminar where professional experts from the audiovisual industry present an overview of all the tools that should be known when planning a project (short film, feature film, series, etc). Audiovisual Narration Workshop: A first approach to the essence of storytelling, the bases we all need to tell stories: characters, desires, motivations, conflicts, obstacles, dramatic tension, etc.There will be short writing exercises during the workshop, audiovisual references will be observed to put into practice what has been learned and to start forming a cinematographic culture.This workshop is aimed at all islanders who want to start training in audiovisual narratives.2 sessions on Thursday May 31st and Friday June 1st from 9 a. m. to 12 p. m.
