THE SECRETARIAT FOR SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT ANNOUNCES SUBSIDY PAYMENTS FOR THE ELDERLY UNTIL MAY 19

* The beneficiaries must go to the office of the Colombian Family Welfare Institute to claim the payment flyer.

* At the time of payment, they must show their I.D. card and the payment flyer

The Departmental coordinator of the Elderly programs of the Secretariat of Social Development, Emperatriz O’Neill, announced that until Sunday, May 19, the payments of the subsidies will be made corresponding to the month of April of this present year to the elderly that are part of the program.

The coordinator indicated that the beneficiaries should go to the office of the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare to claim the payment flier that include the date that must be canceled so it can become effective.

Similarly, O’Neill said that, at the time of the payment, they must present their I.D. card and the payment flyer.

In 2019, there were changes in the system; therefore payments will be made monthly. That being the case, the coordinator extended the invitation to the beneficiaries so they can be pending of the established dates to avoid blockages, suspension or withdrawal of the program due to No Collection.

SECRETARÍA DE DESARROLLO SOCIAL ANUNCIA PAGOS DEL SUBSIDIO DE ADULTO MAYOR HASTA EL 19 DE MAYO

* Los beneficiarios deberán acercarse a la sede del Instituto Colombiano de Bienestar Familiar para reclamar los volantes de pago.

* Al momento del cobro, deben presentarse con la cédula de ciudadanía y el volante.

La coordinadora departamental de los programas referentes al Adulto Mayor de la Secretaría de Desarrollo Social, Emperatriz O’neill dio a conocer que hasta el domingo 19 de mayo se efectuarán los pagos de los subsidios correspondientes al mes de abril del presente año a los adultos mayores que hacen parte del programa.

La funcionaria indicó que los beneficiarios deberán acercarse a la sede del Instituto Colombiano de Bienestar Familiar para reclamar los volantes de pago en donde consta la fecha que debe ser cancelada para que el mismo se haga efectivo.

De igual forma, O’neill precisó que, al momento del cobro, deben presentarse con la cédula de ciudadanía y el volante.

En el 2019 hubo cambios en el sistema, por lo que los pagos se harán mensuales. Siendo así, la coordinadora extendió la invitación a los beneficiarios para que estén pendientes de las fechas establecidas para evitar bloqueos, suspensión o retiro del programa por No Cobro.

GOVERNMENT SOCIALIZED WITH ARTISANAL FISHERMEN OF COVE THE RENOVATION PROJECT OF THE FISHERMAN´S PLACE DOCK AND RESTAURANT

The Departmental Government, through the Secretariats of Agriculture and Fisheries and Tourism, held a meeting in the Fishermen's Cooperative of Cove, whose objective was the revision of the improvement and construction project of the Fisherman´s Place dock and restaurant.

According to the secretary of Agriculture and Fisheries, Anthony Roja Archbold, what is sought is to guarantee the operation of the establishment, which has become one of the most representative places on the island.

"In this meeting we had the participation of Fonade, among others, which are the entities that have the resources to initiate and give continuity to the project. It is a project that has been developing for more than four years and at the moment it was paralyzed. Thanks to the initiatives of the Departmental and National Government, we were able to reactivate it and rescue the available resources," said the secretary.

SECRETARIAT OF TOURISM CONTINUES TO FOLLOW UP ON ​​ON VACATION CHAIN

* Secretary of Tourism, Yadira Olivo Florez, met with the founder of On Vacation Group, Carlos Londoño and Environmental Attorney, Sara Pechtalt, to review the commitments made.

An effective follow-up continues to be made by the Secretariat of Tourism, after the first meeting with On Vacation officials, due to the multiple complaints filed by tourists at the Consumer's House and at the secretariat on the alleged poor state of the facilities and lack of some services.

In this opportunity, the secretary met with the founder of On Vacation Group, Carlos Londoño and the Environmental Attorney, Sara Pechtalt, in order to clarify that this call for attention serves as a feedback to continue building the environmental sustainability of the island and improve customer service and infrastructure of this hotel chain.

GOBIERNO SOCIALIZÓ CON PESCADORES ARTESANALES DE EL COVE PROYECTO DE RENOVACIÓN DEL MUELLE Y RESTAURANTE FISHERMAN PLACE

*La obra tendrá una duración de 10 meses.

*La Gobernación espera comenzar con los trabajos de construcción en el mes de julio.

La Gobernación Departamental, a través de las Secretarías de Agricultura y Pesca y Turismo, llevaron a cabo una reunión en la cooperativa de pescadores de El Cove, cuyo objetivo fue la revisión del proyecto de mejoramiento y construcción del muelle y restaurante Fisherman Place. 

De acuerdo con el jefe de cartera de Agricultura y Pesca Anthony Roja Archbold, lo que se busca es garantizar el funcionamiento del establecimiento, que se ha convertido en uno de los lugares más representativos de la isla.

“En esta reunión tuvimos la participación de Fonade, entre otras, que son las entidades que cuentan con los recursos para iniciar y dar continuidad al proyecto. Es un proyecto que se viene desarrollando desde hace más de cuatro años y en estos momentos estaba paralizado. Gracias a las iniciativas del Gobierno Departamental y Nacional, pudimos reactivarlo y rescatar los recursos disponibles”, manifestó el secretario.

CON LA PRESENTACIÓN DE LOS PRINCIPALES PROYECTOS DESARROLLADOS EN EL DEPARTAMENTO, SE LLEVÓ A CABO LA COMISIÓN INTERSECTORIAL DEL PLAN ARCHIPIÉLAGO

*El Gobernador (e) Juan Francisco Herrera Leal declaró que el trabajo conjunto con el Gobierno Nacional no cesará, pues el compromiso es garantizar el bienestar de la comunidad de las islas de San Andrés, Providencia y Santa Catalina.

* Obras como la renovación de redes de acueducto de San Andrés, la Planta Desalinizadora de 50 litros, las obras complementarias del acueducto de Providencia, entre otras, hacen parte del Plan Archipiélago.

Con el fin de hacer un balance de los programas y proyectos del Plan Archipiélago y continuar en la estructuración y en la ejecución de otras obras como la renovación de redes de acueducto de San Andrés, la Planta Desalinizadora de 50 litros, las obras complementarias del acueducto de Providencia, entre otras, se llevó a cabo en Providencia la Comisión Intersectorial del Plan Archipiélago.

El evento contó con la participación del Gobernador (e) Juan Francisco Herrera Leal, el Consejero Presidencial para Asuntos Económicos y Estratégicos Felipe Buitrago, el alcalde de Providencia Bernardo Bent Williams, representantes de la UNGRG, Findeter y el Viceministerio de Turismo.

Para el Gobernador (e), esta Comisión Intersectorial fue la oportunidad para mostrar a la comunidad todas las obras y trabajos que actualmente se desarrollan en el departamento y los proyectos que vienen a futuro. Según Herrera Leal, el Gobierno Central está comprometido con el desarrollo del archipiélago.
